JKA Karate Is Scientific and Is Constantly Being Improved
Black Samurai
9:58:00 PM
Every technique and movement in JKA karate is based on solid, scientific, physical movement theory. That’s why we put such heavy focus far more than any other organization on kihon, the basic foundational techniques, and their proper form, angle and balance. The result speaks for itself: JKA karate is powerful, solid, stable, and smooth flowing; this has...

Forging a Karate Mind
Black Samurai
5:39:00 PM
Karate is not a game of points, weight
classes or showy demonstrations. It is a martial art and way of life that
trains a practitioner to be peaceful; but if conflict is unavoidable, true
karate dictates taking down an opponent with a single blow.
Such an action requires strength, speed,
focus, control. But these physical aspects are only part...
Dojo kun
Black Samurai
5:36:00 PM
Everyone
who trains in karate must know the dojo kun.
At the end of each training session whether it be at the dojo, after
class, or after a tournament, which I always call “Special Training” the dojo
kun is repeated all together by the students as a reminder of why we
train. The dojo kun states the basic
philosophy of karate, according...
Twenty Precepts of Karate
Black Samurai
5:34:00 PM
Gichin Funakoshi laid out the Twenty
Precepts of Karate,(or Niju kun) which form the foundations of the art, before some
of his students established the JKA. Within these twenty principles, based
heavily on Bushido and Zen, lies the Philosophy
of Shotokan. The principles allude to notions of humility, respect, compassion,
patience,...

WHAT IS KARATE - DO ?
Black Samurai
7:48:00 AM
What is Karate-do ?Apart from the formal introduction of karate and its history, to me karate –do is a way to “self realization “.Through
the practice of karate, we come to know what is good and bad for our
karate, later what is good and bad for ourselves. With hard training and
of course competitions too, we come to know how our body and mind
responds...

JKF did too little, too late. Karate is out of Olympic now...!!!
Black Samurai

Almost two decades ago, when south Korea was going to host the Olympic, Taekwondo got the IOC majority and was fully recognised as an Olympic sport. Comparing Taekwondo and Karate; Karate was much biger and popular than Taekwondo at that time and of course still is. Everyone knows that South Korea's Taekwondo Federations had a successful strategy and earned...

WKF CORRUPTION
Black Samurai
3:02:00 PM
When statutes are designed to favor incumbent leadership (as is the case of the 2006 revised Statutes) with no clear stipulations for term limits for elective and even appointive posts, political and economic corruption will be the logical conclusion.
Politics takes many forms in the WKF, all of which should be of concern to us. Most glaring is...
